We believe God created us with unique intellectual, physical, social, emotional and spiritual capacities. With this holistic view in mind, Grace Treehouse’s curriculum is developed to discover and nurture the abilities of the whole child.  We seek to plant seeds for the love of God and for the love of learning about all that He has created. Students will delve into God’s Word while growing in their knowledge of multi-academic subjects through a myriad of sensorial learning experiences (visual, auditory, tactics, and kinesthetic).

Vertical
Grouping

As part of our educational approach, we will implement aspects of the Montessori pedagogy, which involves transitioning students into mixed age group class settings.

In these classrooms, students will be grouped together, ranging from 3 to 6 years old. This intentional mix offers numerous benefits, fostering a dynamic and enriching learning environment:

1.  Peer Learning: Older students can serve as mentors, supporting younger peers in their learning journey.

2. Social Development: Mixed-age groups encourage a sense of community, cooperation, and understanding among students of different ages.

3. Flexibility: Students can progress at their own pace, with the curriculum designed to cater to individual needs and abilities.

4. Leadership Skills: Older students often develop leadership skills by guiding and assisting younger classmates.

5. Continuous Learning: Students have the opportunity to observe and engage with a broader range of academic concepts, enhancing their overall understanding.

6. Long-Term Relationships: Building lasting connections with peers of various ages contributes to a supportive and inclusive school community.

We believe this mixed age group setting aligns with the principles of Montessori education, promoting holistic development and creating a vibrant learning environment for each child.
